I found a 1996 Savage 650 from some GREAT folks near my home town. I'm ready to buy but I have one question - I have not seen any complaints about starting the Savage but when I tested this bike out I had to really crank the starter on full throttle even with the choke all the way out. I had to try several times until it finally turned over. Otherwise the bike is in perect shape. Should I be worried or am I doing something wrong?
